Imagine beginning with a block of Quartz Crystal and ending with this amazing, non-duplicable art collectible miniature sculpture. This piece entailed over 400 hours of intense labor. Francois first sliced the Quartz block, then cut it into an egg shape on diamond wheels. The opaque shell of the egg was hollowed out by hand using dremel tools. The egg is set in 14k Gold with a heavy 24k Gold rim. Pave' set in the rim is a total of 1.5 carats of small Diamonds. Including the Diamonds set in the 24k Gold leaves of the two flowers on each side of the egg, there are a total of 49 Diamonds. The flowers are a Pink Tourmaline and a Green Tourmaline with 24k Gold petals. Truly a surprise, the egg opens to reveal a beautiful Edelweiss flower in 14k White Gold with a 1 carat, 85pts antique cut Diamond in the center, set in Platinum. This egg fits in the palm of your hand, can be worn regally or displayed in its unique carved Chrysoprase flower stand. Edelweiss is securely held in 14k Gold arms and can be displayed closed or open.
